“Lord! I am ‘bursting with joy’ over what you’ve done for me!”
Psalm 34
When something busts, it spills out all over the place correct? So what do you think ‘bursting with joy’ would look like? Hahaheeheehoho….rivers of living water flowing out of my belly,, hahahahahaha.. only a sour-puss, depressed person would not like joy… and “dignified, religious” people…
Some Christians look like they have been baptized in vinegar, I think they need to burst with joy! I was in a church one time and I busted out with joy and some of the congregants turned around and looked at me like I was doing something wrong. So of course when I looked at their mad faces it made me laugh more! If you can’t have the joy of the Lord in your church services where can you have it? Actually, it makes me wonder, because Psalms 16:11 says “in God‘s presence is fullness of joy” so obviously His presence is not in the place? The opposite of joy is sadness or depression and we know who the author of that is,,,so who are they full of, who is in the place?

Laughter is contagious! When your joy bubble bursts it will spread to the people around you, unless they are so stopped up they can’t join in? I’ve been around people that actually get mad when they see someone happy? Well, I’m not talking about unsaved people, I’m talking about Christian people here. But people should be looking at you and saying, “I want what you got!” When you are full of the Joy of the Lord, people will Want to be around you, you are like a breath of fresh air.

Proverbs 17:22 “Laughter is like a medicine”
God created your body so I would think He knows how to fix it? If He said laughter would be like a medicine to your body, don’t you think you should take some medicine? Instead of running to that old pill bottle, get that river flowing out of your belly. Nothing better or more refreshing (or painful for some people), than a good ole’ belly laugh!! Pretty soon you’ll forget all about that pill bottle.

When people get drunk on this garbage the world drinks they don’t care what they look like or what they say or do, right? Well, when you get drunk on the New Wine (the Holy Spirit), (Ephesians 5:18), get full of Jesus, have God’s presence around you, then you won’t care what you look like either. That prune face, stuffy, dignified old you will disappear and the free, happy, joyful new person will show up! ‘Misery loves company’ is an age old saying and how true it is! But cranky, miserable people don’t like the Joy. It’s time, Christian, for you to receive ALL that Heaven has for you and stop being a religious prude and get FREE! Whom the Son sets free is free indeed!! Nobody is going to want what you got if you don’t got anything to give!

When you get full of Jesus, you get full of joy so let the river flow freely!
