In the Book of Ezra they were rebuilding the temple as God had directed, and the Babylon governor demanded to know who gave them permission to do this. They could have let the spirit of fear come upon them but instead, they Boldly replied, “We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth.”
When God calls you to do something you will almost always have someone that will question why you are doing it. They will come with their unbelief and intimidation. This is Not the time to back down or turn around, it’s time to let the Spirit of God rise up Big in you and move forward. 2 Timothy 1:7 Paul told Timothy; “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
You must remember you are not your own, you are bought with a price, the precious blood of Jesus, you are God’s Ambassador as though Jesus were making His appeal through you! Colossians says; ‘have as little to do with this world as a dead person.’
It’s not always easy to stand up in an unbelieving world, especially when people close to you are coming against you but you must remember that you are a worker for God, our allegiance is to HIM first, people second. If you are not careful you can become intimidated and fearful and fear will paralyze you, stop you from fulfilling the plan that God has for you.
If you try to not offend anyone and you try to please everyone you will Never finish what God wants you to do. Keep your eyes on Jesus and what He has told you to do and keep plowing through! God is your leader. Before He formed you in your mother’s womb He knew you, He has plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans for hope and a future! Jeremiah
If you stand your ground and you continue to obey God and keep moving forward despite any intimidation from others, eventually people will realize that God is truly #1 in your life and they’re not going to stop you! And who knows,,,maybe by your actions and words they will get on board and follow the plan that God has for them!!
